MASTER’s THESIS COLLABORATION:
Designing the Future Open Science Data Infrastructure for Biology and AI
Do you want the technical or design responsibility for shaping a new, foundation-owned knowledge platform based on the “CERN model”?And do you want to position yourself for a potential project employment after graduation?

Global AI models (such as ChatGPT and Gemini) severely lack high-quality, structured “ground truth” data.
This deficit leads to academic hallucinations within the educational sector.
The company Fonder® (based at Spinderihallerne in Vejle) is looking for one or two Master’s students to design the framework for an expert-secured, foundation-owned glossary database. The goal is to create a free, open API (Open Science) where domain experts peer-review and validate content within a closed, highly secured environment.
Project Tracks (Depending on your profile and field of study):
We will adapt the academic focus of the thesis in close collaboration with you and your university supervisor. We envision two clear directions:
- Infrastructure & IT Architecture (The system-technical track):
Focus on designing a database and API infrastructure that is hermetically sealed against unauthorized writing (high data integrity), yet optimized for lightning-fast public Open Access deployment and AI ingestion. - UX & Human-Computer Interaction (The design-oriented track):
Focus on process management, workflow, and interaction design.
How do we design the optimal, foolproof administration interface for top researchers?
The interface must ensure a stringent academic peer-review process without creating an unnecessary administrative burden.
What We Offer:
- A multidisciplinary innovation environment:
You will be connected to our network at Spinderihallerne in Vejle.
You will work closely with an external biologist (the domain expert and visionary behind the concept) and a professional designer who integrates the platform with analog gamification educational products for upper secondary schools. - Opportunity for permanent employment:
Our goal for this thesis is not just a report gathering dust on a shelf.
Parallel to your thesis writing, we will prepare foundation grant applications for the full realization of the project.
You will be written into these grant applications as a future key staff member (e.g., IT Project Manager or Lead Developer), meaning a paid position could potentially be ready for you once your thesis is completed.
